A coach in a high-ticket program carries up to 200 to 300 clients when chat and onboarding sit with someone else.

The job description decides whether they do. Below is the one we would write, in sections you can copy. Fill the brackets with your program. Pay and hours are yours to set, and this page does not cover them.

What does a coach do in a high-ticket coaching program?

The work only a coach can do. Everything else goes to the client success team, so the coach's time goes to coaching. The description starts with the calls and ends with what the coach hands over.

Role summary

You coach clients of [program] toward [the program's defined result]. You run group calls and hot seats on the current step, one-to-one calls for premium clients, and reviews of the work clients send in. Client success managers handle chat, onboarding and check-ins.

What you own

Four things, every week, each one logged on the client board.

  • Group calls on the current step of the program, run from a call note you fill in before the call.
  • Hot seats: stage, goal, what the client did, where they are stuck, one action with a time.
  • One-to-one calls booked by clients in the premium tier, each with its own call note.
  • Reviews of client work, with feedback inside [Skool or your platform].

What you hand over

Anything that does not need a coach goes to the client success manager the same day. That means logistics questions, onboarding, billing, and clients who are overdue on their stage. You flag; they follow up. You update the client board in Monday.com after each call.

The point of a client success manager is to help people get further without expensive coaches doing work that does not need a coach. And every call has a note filled in beforehand, so it is never a random call. I hate random calls.

Tools you will use

Skool for the video training, the community and the calls. WhatsApp or Telegram for client chat. Monday.com for the client board. Loom for updates to the team and short answers to clients.

Who we are looking for

Someone who knows [the result] from doing it and can explain it simply. Emotional intelligence, calm, confidence and clear communication matter more than where you coached before. You write short messages, like a friend who is also a professional. You send a link instead of an essay.

Your first 30 days

A worksheet for the role, the SOPs, Loom recordings of how we run calls, and a few training sessions. Then you run calls, with regular check-ins and reporting back. There are no KPIs in the first month.

How you are measured after that

On your clients, not your hours. How many are on track against their stage, how many reach [the result], and how many winners give a testimonial or a review. A share of calls is reviewed for quality.

How to apply

Send a short Loom of yourself. Tell us who you are, why this role, and how you would help a client stuck on [one step]. We do not meet anyone from a CV alone.

Which work goes to the coach, and which to the client success manager?

Split it by whether the task needs a coach. In the programs we run, the split looks like this.

What should a coach job description leave out?

Chat support as the coach's job. One-to-one calls and chat volume are what break a coach's caseload. Leave out vague goals too: 'help clients grow' is not a result anyone can check.

And leave out tasks the offer does not include. Fulfillment decides what can and cannot be delivered. A coach hired to do things the offer never promised delivers a different program from the one that was sold.
