How it is used in a coaching business
Most coaching portals were recorded once, in long sessions, and uploaded as a wall of modules. Clients open module one, watch forty minutes, and never come back. The portal then becomes the reason for refund requests, because a client who has not done the work has not got the result. Rebuilding training for completion is one of the cheapest fixes in a back end.
| Format | Typical completion |
|---|---|
| Open online courses (MOOCs) | 3 to 15 percent |
| Self-paced course | 30 to 45 percent |
| Cohort or hybrid program | 65 to 85 percent |
- Short lessons, each ending in one action the client does before the next.
- A fixed path with the first win early, not a library the client browses.
- Completion tracked per client and fed into the health score.
- Prompts and discussion attached to lessons, which raise completion on their own.
The measure of a portal is not how much it holds but how many clients reach the last lesson. If completion is low, rebuild the structure before recording anything new.
