How it is used in a coaching business

Group coaching is how most coaching businesses get past the one-to-one ceiling. The economics are obvious: one hour of coach time serves twenty clients instead of one. The risk is less obvious. In a one-to-one call a silent client is impossible to miss. In a group call of forty, ten people can go quiet for a month and nobody notices until the cancellation lands.

  • Works when every client has a named contact besides the coach, usually a client success manager.
  • Needs attendance tracked per client, not per call, so drift shows up as a number.
  • Needs a between-call layer: chat support, check-ins and a training portal the client actually completes.
  • Fails when the founder answers every question personally, because the group grows and the founder does not.

The question founders ask is whether their delivery can hold that many people without quality dropping. It can, but not by adding more people to the same call. It holds when the support around the call is built as a system.
